Chef Chan Seafood Restaurant @ SS2/10 PJ

There are so many eating outlets along this road of SS2/10. Not too soon, it is going to turn into a Glutton Street. On one end is “Kayu Nasi Kandar” and on the other end is “Okay Restaurant”. Some have opened and some have closed shop, some are still around. This will be a case of the survival of the fittest, if the food is no good, then bye, bye, its Sayorana… and new ones would take over and try their luck.

Together with my in laws, we ventured into a new outlet “Chef Chan Seafood Restaurant” (formerly used to be an herbal soup shop). Despite the good crowd in the shop, the service was reasonably good and fast.
Special Pork Belly cooked with leek in a clay pot was something extraordinary and delicious. Apparently, this is their signature dish.

Tang Po meat in clay pot, was not as good as I expected. A little bit dry & plain.

The steamed dumplings for the Tang Po dish.

Another signature dish Tofu with thick crab meat gravy, mushroom and broccoli was interesting and good.

Another must order sweet and sour pork for the boys.

A clay pot of glass noodle with Chinese cabbage, mushrooms, carrot, tow pok. I find it dry and oily.

Steamed Red Snapper with soya sauce was great, it must be the good soya sauce they used. It was indeed a yummy red snapper.

Fried chicken with special mint sauce, the chicken tasted flat.
Everyone complained that the dinner was over priced and has no valid and good reason to come back again. Well, if that is the case, I hope the owner could do something about it in order to be part of this Glutton Street of SS2/10.
