Puti Bungsu Rumah Makan & Restaurant @ Batam Island

It was time for “Masakan Padang” or Padang Cuisine and we were recommended this place “Puti Bungsu Eating House”.

View from the outside of the restaurant.

All the foods are pre-cooked and displayed at the counter for you to pick. These foods are nicely stacked. Your choice will then be placed in small individual plates and ready to be served. I find that the dishes are rather cold but that the way it is practiced here except for the “Istana Ayam Pop”.

This is the popular Istana Ayam Pop a must try dish.
Just like Dim Sum all in small plates, we were hungry and had lots to eat. We have beef dishes like “Dendeng” served with red chili, pounded beef meat, beef tendon curry, fried chicken, sambal prawns & fried eggs.

Free range kampong chicken being steamed first before a quick deep fried. What a delicious ayam.

The food was good and the pricing was reasonable. There is also another Puti Bungsu at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng in Kuala Lumpur and managed by the same people.
