2 Fei Fei Wan Tan Mee Eating Houses @ Joo Chiat Place, Singapore

Personally I think Singapore Wan Tan Mee is plain boring as compare to Malaysian or rather KL Wan Tan Mee.  Over at Joo Chiat Place there are 2 shops selling the same Wan Tan Mee under same flagship “Fei Fei” but of different business entity and they are brothers. Apparently both of them used to run the stall for their grandfather at the old shop nearby and now they have decided to run “Fei Fei” separately. Fortunately they are still in good & friendly terms to maintain their grandfather’s legend and the good quality standard of Wan Tan Mee in Singapore.
We were introduced to the older brother’s shop here for a taste of Singapore Wan Tan Mee.

Besides “Fei Fei” Wan Tan Mee there is another stall selling Prawn Mee and that immediately gave me an alternative for my breakfast.

I actually like the prawn mee which is close to the original KL prawn mee found at the defunct stall at Lai Foong Coffee shop at Jalan H.S. Lee. See here for my farewell to this Lai Foong’s here.

I would prefer the chilli to be of powder form instead of this. That would make a prefect Prawn Mee to me.

Good & tasty Roti bakar with butter & kaya is available here too.

Singapore style of Wan Tan Mee with spicy hot chilli sauce and the ingredients are tucked underneath the noodle.

After a round of stirs and exposing the ingredients of red coloured char siew & veggie before you place it into your mouth.

If you do not like it spicy & hot then you can have it with tomato ketchup or none of these sauces at all.

The younger brother still operates at the grandfather’s place at this shop.
