KL Discovery by Bicycles on Agong's Birthday 2013

35 of us in this KL discovery ride. Photo courtesy of Fong Kok Keong.
In less than 24 hours before the actual event, a trial was conducted to determine and confirm certain parts of the route. In fact this trial covered a longer distance than the ride of 1st June. Thanks to Seang Nee for helping out.

It was about 7 in the morning, friends started arriving at Dataran Merdeka.
First group photo of the day at Dataran Merdeka. Photo courtesy of Mr. Kwan Fah Mun.

All getting ready and waiting patiently to be documented as the first group photo in conjunction with the celebration of our King's Birthday was in process.

The cyclists carefully maneuvering through the traffic along Jalan Raja Laut. Destination : Titiwangsa for a breakfast.
The breakfast was good and satisfying ....somewhere at an unique hideout at Jalan Maran.

The bike parking facility at Jalan Maran.

We took a ride around the park and were at this peninsula for another ideal and scenic spot.

Second group photo at the lake edge of Titiwangsa.
This is another marvellous photo by Mr. Kwan Fuh Mun. Thank you leh.
I love to bring friends here for a good view of our KL high rise landscape.
Another great shot from Kwan, of course he and his sexy pose....
From Titiwangsa we moved on to Jalan Semarak into Setapak Jaya for Royal Selangor Pewter.

We managed to find a good spot for our bicycles ....nicely paraded under the shade.
Just like school boys and girls queuing for an educational tour. Admission is free.
All my friends got to go up for a good educational tour leaving me taking care of the bicycles....never mind as long as they are happy and I will happy too.

We were very honoured to be attended by Royal Selangor International Director Datin Paduka Chen Mun Kuen, she is also the grand daughter of the Founder.
The most attentive people in the group at times very noisy......
The world largest tankard is found in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.
Melon Teapot - The original teapot made by the founder of Royal Selangor in the late 1800s is now reproduced in a brilliant finish.
Due to the immense heat outside the building we decided to cut short the ride and change our plan for a lunch. The plan to Klang Gate & Kg. Kemensah was indefinitely shelved but we shall return for the uncompleted business.
